The Excellence in Fire and Emergency Awards took place on 1st December 2023 at One Great George Street, London.
Operation Florian were delighted to be shortlisted in the award category for International Best Practice, alongside Collaborative Reporting for Safer Structures (CROSS), IETUK and IGA Istanbul Grand Airport Rescue Firefighting Team. It was an honour to be finalists alongside these organisations, as we all share a passion and commitment for fire safety.
We were proud to have Roy Barraclough representing us on the day. Sadly our Chair, Michael Doherty and Trustee, Tony Burscough were unable to attend due to train cancellations. However, the whole Board sat eagerly waiting for news with their fingers crossed!
A proud moment for Operation Florian
We were beyond thrilled to be announced as the winners of the International Best Practice Award.
This incredible achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our amazing volunteers and members all around the world. We couldn’t have done it without you and your ongoing support.
This award comes as we are gearing up to celebrate our 30th anniversary next year. We look forward to continuing our work to help fire and rescue services around the world and to promote the protection of life amongst communities in need worldwide.
