The Operation Florian
VAN APPEAL 2023
A crucial part of our work involves collecting donations to send to communities in need. Sadly after nearly 20 years one of our vans is now coming to the end of its life. To continue our vital work we are in desperate need of a replacement van.
Why we are launching this appeal
DELIVERING HOPE
Since 1995, we have donated vehicles, equipment, supplies and expertise all over the globe. Now more than ever, we need your support. A crucial part of our work involves travelling across the UK to collect donations to send to communities in need. To do this, we have two vans. One which is in the South of the country and one in the North West at our storage facility in Chorley.
Sadly, after nearly 20 years, the Chorley van is now coming to the end of its life. The van has been with Operation Florian for the past 13 years, covering tens of thousands of miles collecting equipment all over the country as well as being a support vehicle for convoys to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Moldova.

LET US DELIVER WITH CONFIDENCE
“As a charity, we rely heavily on equipment donations to support our life-saving projects and we travel far and wide in our van to collect from our generous supporters. Sadly, we are now carrying out these journeys with trepidation, hoping to complete the journey without yet another breakdown.
A more reliable replacement vehicle would help us to accept more donations with confidence and ensure that we can continue to protect communities in need.”

HELP US TO CONTINUE HELPING OTHERS
“We work all over the world delivering life saving equipment to thousands of vulnerable people. We desperately need help in strengthening our logistical support as our support fleet is becoming unreliable and this will have a direct impact on our ability to deliver aid. Please help us to help others.”
Get in touchHow you can help
In order to continue our vital work, we are in desperate need of a replacement van, and are appealing to any individuals or businesses who could generously donate a van to Operation Florian.
This would enable us to continue collecting donations from the North of the country for fire and rescue services around the world who are in desperate need of fire safety supplies.
We are ideally looking for a semi-new hi-liner long wheel base van or a box van with a tail gate. If you believe you can help us, please get in touch. Your support will help save lives around the world.
